Some cream scones with strawberries.....

Well it is raining here at my house and I'm waiting for the Oscars to start. We have made a big pot of stew, baked a chocolate cake. Now all we need is the awards. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. While I waited for my cake and cupcakes to bake I made some cream scones with strawberries. I just can't seem to stay away from my minis. Okay they were a special request. Mini Hugs!

Look who flew in today.......

Look who it is a new candy witch. She was made by Jain Squires. You can see her work in her gallery on CDHM. She is wonderful. What does this mean? Maybe another candy shop??...Hmmmm... We will just have to see. Happy weekend!!!

I still can't believe it........

I heard a rumor that I had a picture on the cover but it looks like theres more. My candy shop inside? I'm thrilled and nervous all at the same time. Wow... I can't wait to see it. Wow! I said that....... Now where do I get a copy? Mini hugs!

Wishes for a very Happy Valentines Day.....

Happy Valentines Day! We are getting some much needed rain here today. I have been cooking pot roast for my hubby and a red velvet cake for dessert. It is what he wanted. Yum for both of us. Hannah is enjoying her new car. I had little time for the minis today but was able to snap this picture. I hope everyone is having a very happy day. XOXO

Look what came in the mail.......

It is Ms. Potts. This wonderful little tea pot is by Valerie Casson. I'm thrilled. It is so cute.
My daughter Hannah picks up here first car today. We are so happy for her. She saved and got a great deal on a Jeep Liberty. Whoo hoo! ....... maybe this will mean less driving for me. Yes, That is exactly what this means. Happy weekend everyone. Mini hugs!

My favorite mini of all.....

Okay..... so I usually only post pictures of miniatures on my blog but I wanted to share my favorite mini of all.It is my little chihuahua "mini ". She is a love. This little dog is always with me. When I'm working on dollhouses or miniatures she is right there. Sick in bed... right there. I love you "Mini" dog.

Okay... so this being sick thing is no fun. I'm so over the watching movies thing. I want to play with my minis again. I played with the clay today. Not alot but I had some fun. I love miniatures! I love making things! What a feeling! ...."Happy Valentines" that is what these cookies say to me. Cookie anyone?

I guess it was my turn...

I thought it would be fun to make miniature versions of the kids birthday cakes to share. Yes, I could have taken pictures of the real cakes and put those up but my blog is all about my miniature life...... So here are the cakes done in miniature.

Everyone in my family has been sick with a nasty cold and well I made the mistake of saying how I was staying lucky and not getting the nasty cold.... well big mistake.... Because it got me. I knew better.

Its just my turn and well I have gotten to watch some movies I have been wanting to see. Happy creating everyone and thanks for all the birthday wishes sent my kids way. We had 2 very happy birthdays and now they are taking care of Mom......

Pink daisy cupcakes in miniature.......

Valentines day is such a fun holiday. I think I especially enjoy the pink part. So girly! I think homemade Valentines are the best ....My son wrote me a poem once. I will keep it forever. I made these miniature pink daisy cupcakes today and they made me think of Valentines day.
My son is 16 tomorrow and he doesn't like frosting so I will be baking a chocolate bundt cake for him tonight. My daughter will be 19 the next day and she loves frosting especially pink frosting.....Oh boy here goes my diet again. Mini hugs!

Cherries and cheesecake.......

Okay after a very long week without my computer......Yes... a week of borrowing a moment on someone elses because mine had been taken over by a very bad virus and just when it looked like there might be no hope. It was cured. So today I wanted to challenge myself with something new so I made some cherries and of course I needed some chocolate in there too. Bad week and all. lol.So the final result was this chocolate cherry cheesecake with marshmallow cream on top.

I would also like to give a big thank you to Debbie for the wonderful miniatures she sent me for my kitchen. I'm still smiling. Thank you so much....Some cheesecake for you.

No worries there is some for us all. I have some catching up to do. Mini hugs!

More chocolate and a package

Can you tell I love chocolate? Well I do. I love eating lots of it. I made this miniature chocolate cheesecake today as well a real life version which I might add I proceeded to eat while playing in my miniature world. One piece turned into almost half the cake. I do have a problem saying no to chocolate. Debbie.... I think it might have the picture of your chocolate birthday cake. It has to be what has brought on this overwhelming desire to eat a whole chocolate cheesecake. The only thing better today than eating chocolate cheesecake was getting the package with the new miniature nut chopper I bought for the kitchen. Better than chocolate?
