A little springtime baking.......No chocolate today

Well I needed to move out of my chocolate mood so I made some springtime goodies. I really could make miniature baked goods all day if life would let me. Really brings me joy. I think I miss the bakery so much. Went to visit the old place and it was completely gone. It had changed owners several times since us but now there no bakery at all. Sad.....

Miniature one is almost done. Soon I will share it. I'm going through boxes of minis for a flea market this Sunday in Sacramento. I will see Marsha there. Any one else in the area this is always a wonderful event that shouldn't be missed. Oh did I mention I have real snickerdoodle cookies in the oven .... I do... and there is the timer! Mini hugs!

okay so I'm still in a chocolate mood. It is what it is. Stephanie you offered good advice last time but I really need chocolate so moderation it is for me. But mini baking in chocolate the skys the limit....no calories. I'm having a blast. I wanted to share some pictures of the mudslide cake and the brownies I made yesterday. When you can't have something...the more you want it!

Well I'm trying to be good but I truely have chocolate on the brain. I made these little goodies today. I had fun making them but do I still need chocolate?.....Yes! I do so I have decided there is no way I can cut it out completely. Yesterday proved that with half a bag a m&ms. So.....it will be all about moderation. I will let myself have chocolate everyday just small amounts. I just can't give it up cold turkey. No way...... Anyway wishes for a Happy and Creative weekend. Mini hugs!

Some chocolate fondue and a wonderful surprise.....

Today I made some chocolate fondue in miniature. I really have such a hard time staying away from chocolate. I have to say I ate a 1/2 bag of peanut m&m's today. Not the small bag either.So much for the diet Lol. I also wanted to share the wonderful surprise I received from Marsha (Sassy Mini dolls) This little cutie came and made my whole day. She even made the cute mouse ears. Thanks so much Marsha. You are a sweetheart. I look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks. Mini hugs!

A very tall Croquembouche in miniature...

Okay I got a little carried away with my tower of profiteroles maybe it was because I was so hungry while I was making it. Started a new diet because I have been eating way too many sweets lately and well things are fitting tight again.... I thought this would be fun to make. I saw a real one being created on the food network and boy it made me very hungry for some. Well here it is.... my miniature version. I need to measure it ...Kinda tall but best of all it was something new I had fun making......But didn't help to make me not want to eat the real thing. Lol Where did I hide the chocolate?.....Oh please somebody stop me. Mini hugs!

Still in a miniature baking mood....

Hello.... I did some mini baking yesterday and I thought I would share my latest cake mood here. Some strawberry angel food and a raspberry cheesecake. I'm still battling my nasty cold but at least I felt like doing something in miniature. Just haven't felt like it I cough so much it makes my head hurt. Can't you just see these cakes in a shabby bakery? Me too! Soon........ Mini hugs! Oh did I mention these are scented? Yes they are.

Miniature loaf cakes for my country store....

No too much new here in my world. I seem to have caught a bad cold but feeling a little better today. I thought I would share my loaf cakes I made for my country store. I thought they would be fun to display sliced on the counter. I have been in the mood to go into some of my finished projects and see what new things they need. I had fun with the sliced pound cakes and I think they will be a nice new addition. I will be taking pictures soon of my updated projects and the changes I have made. Hubby is going fishing this weekend so I should have some extra time. Yippee!!! Mini hugs!

Thank you for all the kindness....

I'm sorry to have to share that Ceasar passed away last night. He died with the love of his family all around him. He did not spend one minute of it alone. He knew he was loved. I will miss my little friend very much, but I'm sure he has a special spot in heaven now.
I wanted to thank you for all the kind messages and loving thoughts you sent us when we needed them. I will not forget. Animals are a special gift and it is nice to know so many of us feel the same way. xoxo Kim and Ceasar........

My baby is sick......

I haven't been around much I know.... My little bird Ceasar is very sick and I'm having a tough time. He is a sweet little guy and he needs me right now. Think good thoughts for him.Please! He needs them. Mini hugs!

Yummy sticky buns.....

We had some of these sticky buns at the local bake shop this morning and it inspired me to come home and try some in miniature. Room for improvement but not too bad for my first try.Most of all I had fun. Sticky buns anyone? I'm off to help my daughter pick out a new pet. Maybe we will get some more sticky buns. Nothing says spring like a strawberry cake or cakes.....

This is what I did today. I made miniature strawberry cakes. I love strawberry cake. It was a pretty day today but very windy and still a little cold. Making these cakes put me into a spring time mood. We baked one for a dinner we went to the other night. I looked at the coloring when it was done baking and tried to get that look on my miniature version. It stays pink in some places and golden brown on others. I will have a bakery to show you soon. I first want to apologize for not always doing the best job of doing what I'm supposed to do with the awards. But I do want to say a thank you to everyone who has taken the time to give me them. I do appreciate it so much. I will share a story though of the morning before school when I worked on one that had alot of rules to add and you had to pass it on to 15 people and well it took me like 30 min. to figure the whole thing out and well I went to post and the whole thing disappeared. Kids were late to school and well it kinda made me not to confident with the whole copy paste add links thing. But I will try this one today so you know I do care. I don't think I will try the links thing though Lol.
This came to me from Debbie and Lena. Debbie is incredible and her work is amazing. She loves Harry Potter and it shows. She is doing a Honeydukes and Apothecary right now and well they look just like the real thing. Lena well her blog Miniatyrmama is so pretty to look at always. Just amazing work she does. Both these ladies if you haven't made it to their blogs .....So worth it. Mini hugs!

Yummy bundt cakes.......

Well I have been in a cake mood these last couple days. I promise they will all come together for something fun for you to see. I promise to share soon. I'm not sure how to put into words how much making minis means to me. And now that I have added working with clay to my list.

I have so many foods I stil want to try.I have some crazy dessert ideas too. I just wish I had more time. Someday. My kids are getting older. Only 3 living at home now. I know more time will come. I'm very grateful for my family's patience with me and my crazy at times miniature obsession. Happy Friday! Happy weekend. More cake......

Okay.......more miniature baking today. What can I say I was in the mood to make some zero calorie treats to stop me from baking the real thing. We have been eating alot of cake in our house these days and well pants are fitting a little tight. I burn a wonderful cupcake scented candle while I was making these and well almost as good. There is a butter bundt cake and a layer cake with lime center and cream cheese frosting. Oh no I'm craving a piece of real cake again. Better go find some more clay. Mini hugs!
