The Sweetest Mail From New Zealand.......

Well I know it has been some time since I have blogged and I have really missed it so much. Today to my surprise in my mailbox instead of the usual bills was a package. A package that traveled all the way from New Zealand to me. I have taken pictures of the contents of my package. What a lucky girl I am. I can't even describe how wonderful these little things are. The couch, the shelf, the oh so cute cupcake pillows and not to mention the wonderful little books. I'm beyond thrilled. These are from another blog friend and talent miniaturist Mercedes. Her blog Liberty Biberty is a treat every time you visit so if you haven't yet you must not miss it. I promise you won't be disappointed ever.
http://libertybiberty.blogspot.com/ Thank you so much for making my day Mercedes. I have been very busy on a big special order that finally got finished today.
This was a wonderful surprise. I can't stop smiling. Mini hugs!

A little more work with some cherries and blueberries

Okay well I have 2 more days and then me and the girls hit the road for our trip to Oregon. I can't wait. We have never been. I will be doing a mini show there so wish me luck. I have only done local shows in the past so this is something totally new for me. Sorry I don't have time to show much of what I have been working on. I did make these cherry and blueberry cobblers the other day. I had fun with them.. I really enjoy the cherry and blueberry baked things. Something different from my usual chocolate love.Of course I had to throw in a pic of some chocolate chip cookies too. I have made so many of those lately. I really could use some real ones soon. I have taken lots of pictures to share and I promise as soon as I have time I will. Off to do more packing. Mini hugs!

Sunday and some macarons.......

Well this post was supposed to happen yesterday which was actually Sunday but had some computer issues. So today I will share Sunday's treat. Went to the dollhouse store with hubby for some supplies and on the way back we found this wonderful little cafe and bakery. I had to get the macarons. The pink one is raspberry and the yellow was lemon. What a treat. I will be going back soon. There was so many other things I wanted to try. What inspiration for miniature foods in this wonderful place. I think I gained 20 pounds just looking at it all.
In my mini world I made some muffins in baskets and a Lemon poppy seed bundt.
Working on the miniature bakery I hope to be able to share soon. Mini hugs!

The bundt cakes are keeping me busy....

The bundt cake (n) a ring shaped cake baked in a tube like pan that has fluted sides. Okay so I thought I might find a better meaning than this but thats what I found. I have been really having fun with the bundt cakes. I really enjoy the way they look. They are a favorite of mine in real life too! Thought I would share some pictures of just some of what I have been working on.
Dog is better, kids are better, hubby goes back to work after his week off at home with me Lol I should have a very productive week coming up. At least one can hope. Off to play with clay and watch the food network. I'm happy today. Mini hugs!

If life were a bowl of cherries......

I have gotten so behind on my blogging these days. Sorry about that. We had the start of school, a sick little dog, and then my son got the nasty flu. Missed a week of school already. Things seem to be getting back to normal here. I thought I would share todays project. A bowl of cherries. Would you believe me if I told you these little buggers took me most of the day? I think I can say I'm happy with them now. They will be traveling to France tomorrow along with some other fun creations. I have been busy. Can't even find my kitchen counter Lol. Hope all is well and we are all finding some mini time. My time is up! Off to pick up the kids, laundry, dinner but at least I finished the bowl of cherries. Mini hugs!

We have light.....in the mini patisserie

Spent time this weekend working on the lighting for my mini patisserie. I'm thrilled with them. I still need to add 2 more very pretty lights when I get the walls finished. Had to try out a cake and a random display just to see. Not sure what displays I'm using for sure yet. Stay tuned. More to come soon.
Today I was at the vet most of the day. My sweet little "Minnie" dog is sick. She seems to be doing better tonight. I didn't realize that onions were so bad for dogs. I know what things are bad now. Off to bed to cuddle my minnie dog. Mini hugs!

A special thank you to Donna and other things I'm doing....

I wanted to get on here sooner to thank Donna for the wonderful tea pot and witch doll she sent me. Thank you! They are so adorable. She makes the cutest bears and now these amazing little tea pots and dolls. This is one talented lady. If you haven't been to her blog you its a must visit http://hagerbears.blogspot.com/. Thanks again for thinking of me. You are very sweet.
I have also been working on a special request pink baking table and my bespaq roombox that will soon be my mini patisserie. I painted the trim inside white and added flooring. Still trying to decide on papers and lighting. I love this box so much. I can't wait to see it filled.
Summer is coming to a end for us and the kids will be going back to school in a week. Keeping me very busy getting them ready to go back to school. Clothes shopping for teens.....theres really nothing like it is there? I need my minis to take me away now!!!! and they do. Mini hugs all!

Eating a cupcake......my own challenge

Well awhile ago I challenged myself to make a cupcake in the process of being eaten, it turned out okay but really didn't love it. I vowed to try it again someday. I really wanted to get the feel of the buttercream being moved. I tried again today and here are the results. I also made some coconut cake and cupcakes for a project I'm working on. Not too much new here. Just really behind with laundry but wanted to work on minis instead. It will still be there tomorrow...Right?

My new favorite plate and a new silver server........

Today I thought I would share this wonderful plate. I just love it. It is made by Stokesayware and it is wonderful. Don Henry did the silver server also so wonderful. I'm sure you will agree. I also thought it would be fun to visit my little chef so busy in the kitchen. She was made by Kay Shipp and will eventually have her own work area in my bakery. Isn't she great? I just love her expression on her face. I think I do that too Lol. I hope you are having a great day and getting some mini time. My time is up and I must get back to real life now. Mini hugs!
