Mini is loving our new workspace

Wanted to stop in and say "Hi" to my blog friends. I have been so busy trying to get the shop finished and organized. I have been organizing the house as well. It has been long over due. It is a good feeling when you are all finished. Of course right by my side has been my sweet little "mini" dog. I took these pictures of her enjoying the warm sun the other day. They make me smile.

I took my two youngest to take their senior pictures for the yearbook today. I just don't know where the time has gone. It really goes by so quickly. To everyone with little ones. It really goes by fast so enjoy all those little kid moments each and every one of them because you will miss those moments someday. Someday comes so much sooner than you think. Mini hugs!

Well I'm very happy to say my workshop is complete. I spent the whole week moving in and I couldn't be happier. Now who wants to come make some minis with me? I hope to spend many happy hours here. I hope you like it too. Mini hugs!

My shop is done and I'm moving in

To say that I'm excited would be a understatement. I'm beyond excited. For over 20 years Kim's minis has been in various kitchens and spread across much of the kitchen table. Today I move into my own little shop, space, whatever you want to call it. Its mine!!!. I chose to do it white with some shabby style. My favorite. It's mine after all it should represent me. I also chose white for light. Lighting is everything when you work with such tiny things.

I hope you like it so far. Just finished painting today so now the decorating begins. Much happy mini creating will happen here. I look forward to sharing it with you. Mini hugs!

A Shabby baking shelf and a whoopie pie party cake

So happy to be working on minis again. I'm also thrilled to share that soon I will have my own little workshop and won't be making minis from my kitchen anymore. It has been a long time coming but I couldn't be happier. I will share pictures soon. Added another window today. Painting next week and then wood flooring. Did I mention how excited I feel? No more feeling guilty or worrying.

Busy busy busy...........

Just thought I would say hello and share with you my latest creation. This is for something very special. I promise that as soon as I can share the exciting project going on in my oh so busy life I will. These little treats are on their way to New York and I do hope they make someone very happy. They are just a preview to something much bigger.

My thumb is doing so much better. Thank you. It just looks horrible now as I'm losing the nail. I hope this post finds everyone happy, healthy and finding time to be creative.

I'm making minis again!!!!!!!!!!!!

To say I'm feeling much happier would be a under statement. I'm so HAPPY to be back making minis again. My thumb has finally healed enough to work with small things again. This weeks has started off with lots of cookies. Here are just some of what I made. I'm a big fan of frosted sugar cookies in my real life so I guess it only natural that I would enjoy creating them in miniature too. Can you smell the sugar? Come on have some cookies with me. The kids are still at school and we can talk about minis. Thanks so much for all the kind comments and emails the last few weeks. They have meant a lot to me. Mini hugs!

Who feels like a party?

Filling trays........

I can't believe how much this finger injury has messed with my mini making. I happy to say it is healing. Just not as quickly as I would like. I will be back to making things again soon. For now I filled more trays. Very happy with how these turned out. Mini hugs!

Rice krispie treats!!!!!!

Not much new in my miniature life. My finger took me away from making minis all last week. :( Slowly trying to get back to making some things. I thought some Rice krispie treats might be fun to try. I was right. I displayed them on one of the adorable little stands Mercedes made for me. I think they are a good match. Don't you? Mini hugs!

My birthday and what was inside the cupcake tins

For everyone who was wondering what Mercedes put in those adorable cupcake tins. I opened them first thing this morning. First one contained the cutest cupcake cookie cutters. I can not wait to make frosted cookies with these. LOVE them. The second tin contained a cute little polka dot table she made. I really could not be happier. Thank you so much. I put some cookie sandwiches on one of the cute stand she made me and some wonderful chocolate boxes I purchased at the Tom Bishop miniature show yesterday. I also got a lovely J.Getzan bakers rack. What do you think? I have wanted one for so long and thanks to a lovely friend I have one now. So other than a horrible finger injury I had a perfect birthday. Thanks so much for all the wishes.
