Creating a cupcake shoppe

Many times my real gets in the way of my miniature time and that can be very depressing. Other times after going through some time away from the miniatures I can get so addicted to them again that I don't know my real life anymore. During the last few weeks of cleaning after Miss Hannah moved out I came across some boxes of things I forgot I had. One of those things was this little cupcake shop I started and then tucked away for another day. Well I think its time it gets done and opened for business. What to you think? Note to self finish everything I start. Well we will see about that one. I'm sure going to try until real life comes calling again. Mini hugs!

I heart baking and making minis too

Yes Its true I do heart baking and I do love minis so put the two together and this is what you get. I have been having the best day today working with minis. Now I'm going to go bake a cake and make some real pink buttercream frosting. Ahhhh Life is good. Happy weekend everyone. Love is in the air Monday. I wonder what that will bring with it? Emily, Hannah ( aka birthday girl) & Me
Okay so where to begin. Last weekend my daughter Hannah turned 21. She also moved into her first apartment. I can't believe where the time has gone or that she is old enough to have her own place. Needless to say it has been a tough adjustment. For us both. The move is only about 10 minutes away and I'm so thankful for that.

Still working on the bakery modeled after the real shop. Should be done and ready to share soon. I also put together a kitchen room box for the CDHM online magazine. I thought I would share a couple pictures here. I had so much fun with it.

I don't know how many of you saw Mercedes post about the little tea party she did for the adorable Liberty but I was so inspired when I saw it I had to recreate it in miniature. I'm very happy to say it was a nice distraction and is now on its way to New Zealand.

My house smells so sweet

One of my favorite parts of the Holiday season is the baking and sweet smells. There is nothing like sugar, butter and vanilla. Well maybe chocolate is pretty wonderful too. For the past week I have been baking , baking and baking. I think homemade cookies make very good gifts. I give them to the ladies that work at my bank, to my wonderful friends and family. My kids enjoy them too. My son just came in and had a couple for breakfast Lol. This year we had a new cookie cutter. It was the cupcake shape in different sizes. It was sent to me from Mercedes. Her blog Liberty Biberty. Thank you Mercedes for this fun fun new cutter. Those cookies were the first to go. Merry mini Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas lovely friends. I thought today was a perfect day to share some pictures of the Christmas dollhouse I made for my Mom years ago. It was a surprise for her and she always lights it up pretty on Christmas eve. While we were there last night I snapped some pictures. I hope you enjoy them. Wishing you a happy day! I'd like to share a project with you

As promised I'm trying to do a better job of visiting the blog and sharing fun things going on in my miniature life. Well for months now I have had a special project going on. It is a cupcake bakeshop modeled after a real one. When finished it will travel there to be displayed for many to see. Very exciting stuff. I have really took this one to heart and I want everything including all the little foods to look as close as possible to the real life ones. It is close to completion now and I will be sharing the finished piece with you soon. For now here are some sneak peeks. I made the little cakes on the cake stands the other day. A Little Christmas to make us smile

A new glass top for my table

So I like to create little vision boards with things that represent me and my wishes for the future. I thought it would be fun to make on with the little table in my workshop. I arranged my pictures and things on the table and then placed a glass table top over them. Here is the end result. I love it! Mini is loving our new workspace

Wanted to stop in and say "Hi" to my blog friends. I have been so busy trying to get the shop finished and organized. I have been organizing the house as well. It has been long over due. It is a good feeling when you are all finished. Of course right by my side has been my sweet little "mini" dog. I took these pictures of her enjoying the warm sun the other day. They make me smile.

I took my two youngest to take their senior pictures for the yearbook today. I just don't know where the time has gone. It really goes by so quickly. To everyone with little ones. It really goes by fast so enjoy all those little kid moments each and every one of them because you will miss those moments someday. Someday comes so much sooner than you think. Mini hugs!
