My favorite bakery here where I live is called"Costeaux" french bakery. I love many things they make there but I especially love the frosted sugar cookies. I can not believe ... I am the first??? then, first of all I would tell you that your minis make me a lot of throat, so when I'm hungry always step from here and I console myself .. LOL! and then, for your give away, my favorite bakery is behind my house, and doing simple little bread crumb and crust crisp and fragrant, is gorgeous !!... and my favorite food is Italian pasta: spaghetti, tortellini, lasagna ... I can also do without eating meat or fruit, but the dough must not fail in my house ever!
indeed, I will leave the link in my blog of recipes, you never know you should come hungry ... it can also serve as an inspiration to you for your mini meals ...

I hope to be lucky, I really like your vintage corner ...

Our favorite bakery where we live is quite a jaunt, but SOOO tasty..... Their name is: Blackbird Bakery on Bainbridge Island. I am in love with ANYTHING they put their chocolate ganache on. Bill got me a birthday cake from there and the outer frosting was a milk chocolate ganache. It melted like butter in your mouth!! TO DIE FOR!! But I am a chocoholic!! Your pieces are like magic and I htink everyone loves them because they are so real, and so magical, and they just ransport you to a place that I cannot even describe! ;) I remember when you very first got started and am amazed by where you have gone with it.

Hi Kim,

This is gorgeous!! Actually there are too many favourite bakery. Yesterday I went to a new one, and love it. TWG is the name of it. I picked a slice of chocolate cake, but also tested my friend's white chocolate cake. I think I like the white chocolate better, as it's not so sweet, and has a layer of raspberry mousse in it :) So I'll pick that the next time!

But I am a true chocoholic, so I must say the mousse is my favorite ;-)

My favorite bakery is Sneiders in Cooperstown, NY. When I was a girl, you could walk down there on a cold, crisp morning and watch the pastries being made through a window, as steam and the scent of fresh breads washed over you. When the doors opened, I would make a beeline for the cinnamon jelly doughnuts, warm and fresh, with melting jelly!

Thanks so much Kim for this oportunity. Among all the things I can remember (because I love sweet things!), I love the Macaroons of Laduree of course, I love the Black Forest cake and meringes of a German Bakery Called Edelweiss, I love the carrot cake of a Tea Salon in Madrid called Vailima (they also make amazing macaroons, cupcakes and more) also the carrot cake that makes Cosmen&Keiles Bakery a nice bakery in Madrid. Near this one they have just opened "Le Pain Quotidien" bakery store wich make wondeful brioches, pretzels and you can also have a nice brunch on Sundays. I love the "torteles" of Mallorca Bakery, they too made nice croissants with chocolate tips. When we go to france we love the Tarte au Citron at the Brioche Doree chain stores. But my fav pieces all time are the Epiphany bread, truffles, mini tartes, eclairs, croissants and the birthday cakes etc that makes a Bakery near my house called "Luna", I know the owners, a very nice copuple of bakers, since I was a kid and they do everything handmade! Amazing people.
Wow, I think I love a lot of things!

My goodness look at all the comments! And why not?! Your mini baking is wonderful as I know first hand. The cupcakes I have from your bakery are delectable and whoever wins is sooo lucky.

Alas, my favorite local bakery simply called "The French Bakery" has just closed it doors after 20 yrs. I loved everything they made of course! But my favorite thing was stopping there on the rare morning I'd drive my son to school (usually Dad did that)and having breakfast. Such memories...

Well, what can I say about the bakeries in Saudi? Since most of them bake edible but tasteless sponge-bread, I'll just tell you about the good ones. There is Crusts for very yummy bread and croissants. And then for sweet-tooth days, I like to admire and sample the baked goods at Le Notre.

In Montreal, I love everything that comes out of Le Panier. I'll stop here, because I am under strict orders NOT to eat over my keyboard!

Btw, that is a very special little corner hutch, filled with pretty goodies, and as always, I love your photos.

As for the giveaway, well..I am not sure about my fave bakery, as I haven't been entering one for several years...and, since I live in the country/by the sea, I really have no chance to go to a good bakey without driving for some hours! So I rely on myself, and bake my own fave cakes and breads..and it's something I love to do, for me and my family-and friends too, of course!
Wish myself and all the other partakers good luck!

Here in Bloomington, IL I don't really have a favorite bakery, because unfortunately there are not any authentic bakery shops!! However, there is this wonderful cafe that just opened within walking distance, Caffe Italia, and the serve not only the best coffee in town, but homemade, yes homemade, croissants! My fav is the raspberry filled, only made on Saturday mornings...we call before we walk, since sometimes they run out or if it is too cold, the dought doesn't rise properly and they throw the batch away!!

I think bakeries are becoming scarce...unfortuately! People go to their grocery store and see cake. But there's cake & there's good cake...& you have to have been brought up with the good kind, you know the difference!
We have a little bakery close by that people swear by if they've bought there once.
As for my favorite....unfortunately I love it all: eclairs, stollen at Christmas, chop suey loaf, strudel. You name it, I'll eat it!

Your photo is superb as always. Everything is perfect, the furniture, the cupcakes and the detail with the magazine. I like the style and the colours.
My favourite pâtisserie in Orléans is Les Musardises. They also have a tea room. It's an old pâtisserie, with a very stylish décor inside. I don't remembe the name of my favourite cake, it's a chocolate mousse cake. All their cakes are beautiful to look at. The other day I invited a friend for dinner and as a present she brought me individual cakes from Les Musardises. They also make delicious macarons. If we want a very good cake for a special occasion we go there. If you type Lees Musardises Orléans and then images you can see photos of the shop.
You are very kind to offer a gift . But as I said in my last commentary, it's no surprise you have so many followers and visitors, it's just because your blog is great.
