Dropping hints for Mothers Day......

I was in our local french bakery Friday with my daughter and they had a flyer on the counter for the princess cake for Mothers Day! I haven't had this in soooooo long. They even sell it sliced but there wasn't any .It was the end of the day. Well I scooped up a couple of the little flyers and have put them around the house ........then yesterday I decided to make some in miniature. Surely they will notice them. Hint hint hint .... I guess time will tell.
I thought I would share my miniature versions here. The princess cake is white chiffon cake filled with raspberry and Bavarian custard whipped cream and draped with traditional marzipan.
How does that sound? Like the perfect Mothers day dessert to me! I know ...What about chocolate?..... well thats everyday for me! Mini hugs!

Mmmmmmmmmmm THAT is my kind of cake. I am not a chocolate lover - I really don't like chocolate unless it is around something else that I like. But that cake is to die for.

Kim, that cake is so pretty! I don't know how you'd be able to eat it! LOL!!

I hadn't heard of a Princess cake before, not that I'm a mother (hmmm . . . do feather and fur kiddies count?!) so aren't expecting a Mother's Day gift, but I can be a princess! LOL!!

Sounds wonderful - don't remember ever having it before. Since your daughter was with you, maybe she will remember and tell your hubby.:)

You have done a wonderful job as usual....soooo pretty!!

When I 'really' want something...I leave a picture of it on the fridge...at the moment my note on the fridge reads,.."Take Me To Paris"....

Sounds lovely Kim, but I'd rather have the Chocolate. I don't like Marzipan and yet I Love Almonds. Your Cake looks beautiful..

That sounds like heaven. It also sounds a bit like my wedding cake.

Either way I hope they get the hint. Your mini version is lovely. :-)

This looks exactly like my wedding cake! We eloped in our living room and had few guests so we went to the bakery in downtown Santa Cruz, got the cake, and brought it home. Best $18 ever spent!

Linda...."take me to Paris" sounds wonderful for my hubby it would have to be "take me fishing" for him to notice Lol
Thanks everyone for the kindness! I stopped at the bakery yesterday to see if they had any sliced. They only had a whole one! I wanted to take a pic with the mini slice. Mini hugs!
